Report Builder: How Do I Export/Save Reports

Exporting reports offers numerous benefits enhancing your ability to manage and analyze information effectively. In smg360, you are able to export any reports into several different formats such as PDF, Excel, or CSV. Within the export functionality, you can also format the report in different ways. You can also choose to save the report as a Favorite so they can be easily pulled, see Favorite Report.  This article covers exporting reports that you built in Report Builder.

Export Reports

Client users with appropriate permissions can build custom reports in the report-builder section of the reporting website by navigating to Reports + Analytics on the blue navigation bar and selecting “Report Builder” as shown here:

  1. After you have built the report, click Save/Export

  2. In the pop-up, choose the format you wish to export
    • Export to Excel: Report by Time Frame
will produce a formatted table without merged cells where scores and n counts are grouped separately and reported across time frames.

    • Export to Excel: Report by Measure:
will produce a formatted table with scores and n counts grouped side-by-side within each measure.

Note: When exporting to Excel you can select your default Excel export version. The default version can be updated at any time by going to Settings, General and Default Export Options.

    • Export to PDF: Portrait Mode is the standard layout for most documentation

    • Export to PDF: Landscape Mode
is ideal for content that requires a wider layout

    • Export to CSV
will produce a file with unformatted data

  3. Click Download
