You have a Smart Survey or a survey with multiple menu items questions, and you want to know the difference in scores for customers who ordered and didn't order a specific menu item. You can run a report in Report Builder to see the scores for each menu item.
If you need the data for more than 20 menu items, please submit a ticket to SMG Support.
Building the Comparison Report
- In Report Builder, under 1. Report Type and Time Frame, select the following options:
- Type of Report: Comparison
- Date Type: Survey Date
- Date Range: Select the date range for the report.
- Compare to other dates: Optional.

Under 2. Units or Levels of Report, select the levels and specific units you need in the report.
- Under 3. Data in Report, select the following options:
- Select the survey items to appear in the report (e.g., Overall Satisfaction).
- Click Refine Results.
- In the Breakout Data tab, select the menu item you want to see the data for. You can also select the main question, but the report will only show the scores of people who ordered the menu item. If you select the individual menu item, the report will show the scores of people who ordered and didn't order.
- Click Done.

Click Build Report.
- Export the report and repeat these steps as many times as needed.
